Is Drury Inn Morrow GA Worth It? Pet-Friendly Hotel, Renovation, and Allergy Tips

If you’re looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay just south of Atlanta, the Drury Inn in Morrow, Georgia might be just what you need. I recently had the pleasure of staying there, and I’m excited to share my experience with you — tissues, tiny elevators, and all!

First Impressions: Friendly Faces Everywhere
From the moment I stepped inside, it was clear that hospitality is a big deal at this Drury Inn. Every single staff member I encountered — and I do mean every one — made it a point to greet me with a smile or a friendly hello. It made the entire experience feel warm and personal, which can be a rare find these days.

Renovations Underway (But No Fuss!)
Yes, the hotel is currently undergoing some renovations, but to my surprise, it didn’t interfere with my stay. The construction team kept the areas clean and safe, which shows a lot of respect for guests’ comfort. If you’re easily bothered by construction noise or mess, don’t worry — they’re handling it like pros.

Oops, I didn’t do my homework to learn if this was a pet-friendly hotel.

Pet Lovers Rejoice… Allergy Sufferers Beware!
Here’s where you might want to grab a tissue — especially if you have pet allergies. The Drury Inn is proudly pet-friendly, and it shows. I spotted furry companions in the elevator, the lobby, and even the hallways. While it’s heartwarming to see pets welcomed so openly, those sensitive to dander might find it challenging. If you’re an allergy sufferer, a little advance preparation (and a few tissues) could make your stay much more comfortable.

A Tiny Elevator with a Big Job
Speaking of elevators, the main one at this hotel is quite small. It’s not large enough to comfortably fit a luggage cart and a double stroller at the same time. If you’re traveling with lots of gear or little ones, you might need to plan an extra trip or two up and down.

Scents and Sensitivities in the Lobby
The lobby bathrooms feature automatic air fresheners that are powerful enough to scent the nearby hallways with lavender. While some guests might find this pleasant, others — particularly those sensitive to strong smells — might not. I heard a guest moving rapidly through the hallway to get away from the scent because of a mild headache forming from the aroma, so if you’re sensitive to fragrances, it’s something to keep in mind.

The Drury Inn in Morrow, GA, offers a genuinely friendly environment, pet-friendly policies, and a clean, safe stay — even amid renovations. Just pack a few tissues if you’re sensitive to pets or strong scents, and you’ll be ready for a comfortable visit.

Would I stay again? Absolutely — but next time, I’ll be a little more prepared for the adorable, furry guests!

About Me

I’m an outsider that likes to peek on the inside. I am an extreme introvert, but will become an extrovert for the right people. I avoid social situations, not because of the extreme introvertism, but because people make me sick–literally. With this unfortunate condition, that’s why there’s my tissue and me. Literally.
