Be your own health surrogate
You don’t feel good.
You put your trust in doctors.
They run test after test. Prescribe various medications.
Follow up visits.
You still don’t feel well.
They keep you coming back, prescribe more medications and antibiotics, more follow ups. After all that they decide “you have severe allergies.”
“Hmm, no I don’t think so.”
Yeah, I do have allergies that usually come and go with the seasons, but never had an allergy attack that lasted over 6 months, caused me difficulty in breathing, a chronic cough that interrupted my sleep every 2 hours, and congestion 24/7.
I’ve been to every doctor, cardiologist, allergist, pulmonologist and no answers or a true diagnosis. So what’s next?
Find another doctor and tell him “I DON’T FEEL GOOD!!!”
Not to make an already long story longer, I found another doctor. He listened to my concerns and issues and got the ball rolling. My problems were not allergy related. Probably an infection of my lungs that began in April 2023 that was never diagnosed or treated properly. He put me on 2 antibiotics for a 5 day period and I have an MRI scheduled but right now I’m feeling normal again. No breathing problems no coughing or congestion and finally sleeping through the night.
Keep looking for a doctor who listens and Be Your Own Health Surrogate.
Make it a great day, Ralph.
