As we all know, Dove is a very popular brand of soap that has been around for years and is known for being a great moisturizer. However, there are a few different variations of Dove soap available, and not all of them are created equal. If you accidentally buy the wrong type of Dove soap as I did, your nose will pay the price!
Check the label! No matter what, check the label! I was having a conversation with my family while in the grocery store and all I saw was “Dove”. I stooped down to the bottom shelf and mindlessly grabbed the soap and placed it in the cart while still talking.
So I had to make a choice. Stink or be ‘Original Beauty Bar’ clean.
We get home and put up the groceries. Apparently, we had a lot to talk about that day because I still didn’t realize I got the wrong Dove. Fast forward a few days later and it’s time to replace the soap in the shower. I’m overwhelmed by the scent when I tear the plastic from the boxes. Oh, dagnabbit. I grabbed the Original Beauty Bar instead of the Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar, which is unscented. I internally panic. If I outwardly panic, I will get odd looks from my family and I will be told that “it’s just soap.” Yeah. “It’s just soap” will diminish my breathing, causing me to suffocate until I remember to breathe through my mouth, and then I can’t eat because I can’t mouth breath and chew. So yeah. It’s just soap. Don’t get me wrong, the Original Beauty Bar smells delicious, but they way that my allergies and sinuses are set up, the scent makes me snuffy and sneezy.
So I had to make a choice. Stink or be ‘Original Beauty Bar’ clean.
Dove to the rescue by washing the grit and grime away. Yay.
I can’t breathe, but I smell good.
